You may be entitled to compensation between €125 and €600 depending on the distance of your flight and the total delay at your final destination. If the airline informed you about the cancellation at least 14 days before the flight, or if the airline can prove that the cancellation was caused by extraordinary circumstances (severe weather conditions, strikes by airport staff or flight traffic control, political crises, etc.) you are not entitled to compensation. In addition to compensation, the airline must offer you the choice between:
-Refunding of your ticket within seven days.
-Re-routing of your final destination under similar conditions.
